1st Real Day of Spring Break

Yes, today was my first real day of spring break, but as any good story does, it begins more last night, around 23:30, when everyone else was off to bed. I had been dying to rewatch the entire season of Caprica, so naturally, I did. Starting from the Pilot. Of course, it was just as fantastic, if not more fantastic, the second time.

Well, it was about 00:30 when I realized it might be a good idea to go to sleep, so I turned off the tv and headed down to bed. As I entered my bedroom and turned on all the lights, I noticed a spider on the wall. A creepy looking brown spider. And rather than skittering, like spiders should do at sudden changes in the environment, such as lights turning on, the spider decided to sit there. And stare at me. I don't know if any of you would understand...but I have major arachnophobia, and spiders in my room scare me so much I can't return to that room until someone kills it. And seeing as fortunatly everyone was off to bed, I was the only person awake, and me getting close enough to a spider to kill it is already a ridiculous notion, but actually succeeding in killing it is impossible. So, I headed upstairs, terrified, and decided to watch more Caprica. After about an episode I was like, hey, I can go back to bed, right? So I went into my room being as brave as possible, but upon noticing the spider hadn't moved at all, I started to cry. Even I realise this is ridiculous, but it was late, and the later it is, the more paranoid I am, and the less I'm able to logically cope with my phobias. So, I left my room, crying, and decided more Caprica was the obvious option to calming down from my panic attack.

And it was. After watching my two favourite episodes, which, naturally, have Richard Harmon as Heracles (who happens to be my favourite character), I found peace in wishing I, too, was in New Cap City.

So, I decided I would go to sleep. Quickly going to my room and removing my contacts, washing my face, and bravely grabbing my favourite stuffed animal, Pengwee, off my bed, and running into the movie room (right next to my room, also in the basement). Naturally, sleeping in my room was out of the question, so I slept on the pull out bed that was conveniently still made as my sister's friends had slept over earlier in the weekend.

By now it is about 2:30/3 and I finally fall asleep.

And now it is morning, about 11:45. I do love spring break.

I watch the rest of the season of Caprica, and even begin watching the Pilot again, while accomplishing a couple units of driver's ed. How many times will I have watched the whole season of Caprica by the end of break? I don't know, but it'll be epic...I'll keep you posted.
