Today was Spa Day for Pure Fashion, a program for Catholic girls in high school where we learn about why we should be pure and modest, and we also talk about fashion. :-)
We went to PURE salon to get hair and make-up and headshots. My appointment was for 13:30 and went until 16:30.
When I first arrived, some of my friends were already there and I talked to them for a while, and one of the leaders, Elizabeth, had me fill out some forms with my name, height, size, ect. since we'll be starting fittings for the fashion show soon. Most people had to be measured, but since I'm not much taller than 5 feet, they didn't really have to measure me. I'm definently in the "short" group.
Then I got my hair done. I had already decided I was getting my hair cut shorter and getting more of a bob with less layers, and I brought in a picture with me. After I got it washed she cut it and it looks awesome. I love it. :-)
Then I had my make-up consulatation. I had always thought my skin tone was cool, but apparently it's actually warm. She put on some primer to protect my skin from make-up, and then some foundation. For eyeshadow she gave me some nice contouring brownish-reds and some dark grey eyeshadow. I'm not exactly sure of the mascara colour, but it's kind of a grey-ish-blue colour that looks really cool. She did my lips in a plum colour, which I was totally not aware I could pull off at all, and did a more brownish colour than I'm used to for blush.
For a while after I just hung out, talked to some other models, and ate some of the snacks they had set out for us. :-)
